Question | — |
Draft meta post This is an in-progress draft meta post for when threaded comments are ready to deploy. From our earliest discussions of what the Codidact platform would be, we've known that we had to tackle comments. Comments are very important for giving feedback and asking for clarifications. Some other p... (more) |

Feature request (not a blocker for release, but I think we'll want to add this): show (in the thread) who archived or deleted a thread to anyone who can see the thread in the first place. This is the same level of visibility as for deleted posts; I don't think that needs to be mod-only.
I'm not s... (more) |

There's a deleted thread on your answer now (a deleted "Post Feedback", in addition to the undeleted one). Can you see it @#13? (more) |

Discovered while editing the previous comment: @-completion works for new comments but not for edits; I had to type the ping for @#10 by hand and don't know if it pinged.

(Can't create a new thread right now so putting this here.) What do you mean you can't see deleted threads even as a mod? I see [this](https://a.dev.codidact.org/uploads/5sXwcdBpcoy4CqhGhW5P2AQ9) on the question; don't you? @Moshi (more) |

Confirmed; it's sorting by number of comments. I think *either* bumping (to the top) on a new comment *or* keeping the threads in order of creation (for those with a more positional memory) would be better than sorting the threads by length. (more) |

Interesting. It said "1 comment" before, and then I added that, and it still said "1 comment". This should take it to 2, methinks. (more) |

Comment | Post #72 |
I created a new thread ("collapse preview") and saw it appear at the bottom of the list. I've noticed that in other cases new comments bumped a thread to the top, so I refreshed, thinking it was caching. No change. Then I added a comment to "abandoning comments", and that did bump. It looks like ... (more) |

I clicked on a thread that had one comment, read the comment, (pending a deploy would have seen confirmation that I'm seeing everything), and wanted to collapse it back down again to get it back out of my way. Could we have a "collapse" link for an expanded (in-page) thread? (more) |

Are we checking for the thread by name, or does it have a special identity? (This is a flag.) (more) |

I'm not UserC, but I just was a few minutes ago and I didn't see a ping from here, @#7.
Also, accepting a ping auto-complete removes focus from the textbox, so I have to click back in to finish my comment. (more) |

Just how stealthy is this category, really? This is a post in a limited-access category. Can users who can't see the category see the post if they have the URL? Does it show up publicly on my profile? Let's find out. Result: 404 with the URL, not shown on the profile: screenshot, not logged in EDIT (more) |
