Tag Experiment

Sample question accepting tagged answers

This is a top-level post where the answers can also have tags. This is an experiment to see if the UI can handle what the configuration allows. :-) And also because it could support Code Golf, maybe. But mostly because I'm curious.

This is another answer with a different tag.

After posting a tagged answer, the button-click redirects to https://a.dev.codidact.org/#, which is the question page for Q&A. Does that happen with edits too? Let's find out.

Nope, it's only the initial revision that does it.

So, when posting a tagged answer, you:

  • type into the answer field
  • click the 'post' button
  • get sent to the editor with a red error message about missing tags
  • enter tags
  • click the 'post' button
  • get sent to the Q&A category

Tagged answers do not show up in the tag pages -- not sure where there might be an assumption of top-level posts baked in.

Oh well. I can type an answer here (don't yet know if it's an Answer or a Tagged-Answer as configured), but there's no place to enter tags. Let's see what happens.

Edit: original submission failed, but the editor it led me to does have a place to add tags. Here goes!
